Brow Embroidery & Microblading

Helping your brows introduce you before you speak.

First introduced in Asia, microblading, a form of eyebrow embroidery, is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that can dramatically correct or fully construct/reconstruct lost eyebrow hairs. Often rendered as hairstroke tattoo, it can help define, shape, and create fullness in the eyebrow area. Microblading is a form of inserting pigment under the top layer of the skin by a special pen with a sterile needle. Unlike permanent makeup brow treatment, microblading is drawn to mimic natural hairs in your brows. The blade of microblading pen is 3 times thinner than the needles used for tattooing and does not go as deeply into the skin. Therefore, the pain is considerably less and the results are semi-permanent.

In addition, these pigments are designed to gently fade over time. Fading is desired as it allows the artist to make changes to color and shape over the years as the client’s natural coloration and facial changes occur. Results can stay up to 24 months but can vary depending on skin type (melanin), age, sun exposure, and products used on your face. Retouching is common and should be expected. The color of eyebrow pigment is all dependent upon your skin tone and hair color and roots. We have multiple tones and pigments to choose from.

The purpose of cosmetic tattooing is to enhance the natural features of a client. It should be soft and subtle; seeking to make changes that enhance your beauty – not take away from it. No two eyebrows are the same. We tailor and customize an eyebrow that is designed for your unique features and personal desires.

Brow Embroidery & Microblading

Types

Microblading is a technique that involves using a handheld manual tool with micro-blades to create fine, hair-like strokes within the brow. It is suitable for people who desire a natural look or have very fine hair. The strokes mimic the appearance of fine hair.

Microshading, also known as Microblading & Shading, combines the best of both techniques. It involves adding a shading effect behind the microbladed strokes, eliminating the need for filling in with brow powders or pencils. It is also semi-permanent but tends to last longer than microblading alone.

Ombre/Powder Brows, also referred to as Ombre Brows, utilize a machine to softly implant pigment in layers using a nanoneedle. This technique creates a gradient of color, starting darker at the tail of the brow and gradually becoming lighter towards the head, resulting in an ombre effect.

Nanoblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo technique used to achieve thicker-looking eyebrows. This procedure utilizes pigmented ink and a super-fine needle to create hair-like tattoo strokes. The texture achieved is slightly thicker than that of classic 3D Microblading.

Feathering techniques involve applying strokes closer together to create a shaded, dimensional look. This method may yield better results for certain skin types.

While semi-permanent makeup can produce amazing results for eyebrows, lips, and eyeliner, it is important to note that the procedure is not suitable for everyone. Choosing to undergo semi-permanent makeup is a significant decision, as it will have long-lasting effects on your body. It is a decision that will stay with you for years. Therefore, it is crucial to take ample time for consideration before proceeding.

Process

Usage of Numbing Cream/ Numbing Agent

Numbing agent will prevent your body from sending any inflammatory signals that may cause these issues. Your skin will be much less likely to have any side effects such as redness, inflammation or bruising. After the procedure, you may experience slight irritation but this will fade away after your skin has healed. A numbing cream can help reduce your discomfort and allow the microblading procedure to be completed faster. This means that you’re less likely to feel any pain throughout the process and it will also take much less time for your skin to heal.

When numbing cream is applied, we cover every part of the skin that will be treated during the microblading procedure. This is because some areas (such as the lips) may feel painful when they’re done and you don’t want to add any additional discomfort after using a painkiller.

In order to ensure your overall well-being and avoid any potential complications, it is important to carefully review all the information provided on this page regarding the requirements, contraindications, and medications to avoid before your semi-permanent makeup appointment. Proper preparation is key to achieving the best possible healed results, so please make sure to follow the instructions accordingly.

  • Within 6 months: 40% off (1 session)
  • Within 12 months: 30% off (1 session)

Please note that if you had previous work done by another artist, it will be priced as an initial session.

Before & After
Before Your Arrival

To ensure a successful procedure and optimal healing, please follow these guidelines prior to your appointment:

  • Avoid blood thinners to minimize excessive bleeding.
  • Refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages for 48 hours before the procedure.
  • Do not consume caffeine on the day of the procedure.
  • Only take pain relievers or killers if specifically directed by your physician.
  • Discontinue the use of fish oil or biotin one week before your appointment.
  • Avoid tweezing or waxing at least 48 hours before the procedure. If you have undergone electrolysis, wait at least five days before the procedure and do not resume any hair removal method for at least two weeks.
  • Eyebrow tinting should be done or removed no sooner than 48 hours before the procedure.
  • If you have a specific brow shape in mind and are open to suggestions, I can assist in designing a brow that suits you personally. Note that we cannot tattoo over any blemishes or moles in or around the treatment area.
  • It is recommended to shower before your procedure.
Aftercare

Follow these instructions for proper aftercare to ensure the best healing and results:

Absorb: After the procedure, gently blot the treated area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid every 5 minutes for the first day until the oozing stops. This helps prevent the hardening of lymphatic fluids.

Wash: From days 1-7, wash your eyebrows daily to remove bacteria, product build-up, oils, and dead skin. Use a gentle antibacterial soap like Cetaphil or Neutrogena. Gently cleanse your eyebrows each morning and night with your fingertips, using a smooth motion for 10 seconds. Rinse thoroughly with water, ensuring all soap is rinsed away. Pat dry with a clean tissue. Avoid using products containing acids or exfoliants.

Moisturize: Apply a rice grain-sized amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Avoid over-applying, as it can suffocate the skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Do not apply the ointment to wet or damp skin.

Healing Timeline

Day 1-2: Your brows will appear 20 to 40% darker, bolder, and more solid than the healed result. The area may be red, and pigment will be deposited into the layer of skin containing dead cells, creating the darker appearance. Minimal swelling may occur, but it will be limited.

Day 3-4: Itching may begin, and the pigment may appear slightly raised. Avoid scratching or picking.

Day 5-7: The skin will start to rapidly exfoliate, shedding evenly. The color under the exfoliating skin will appear very light, gradually becoming darker over the next few weeks. Refrain from scratching or picking the area.

Day 30-40: The tattoo will now be part of the dermis, visible under the epidermis. This is the time to assess your brows and make any necessary adjustments.

To ensure the longevity and outcome of your permanent cosmetic procedure, take good care of your skin and protect it from UV rays.

Please note that these guidelines are provided as general information. It’s essential to follow the specific instructions given by your technician for your unique situation.

Terms & Conditions

Please note that the following conditions and guidelines apply to various procedures, including Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), Scar Reduction Skin Camouflage, Eyebrow Embroidery & Microblading, Lip Blushing (Color Correction), and Korean Eyeliner Embroidery:

We are unable to perform Semi-Permanent Makeup if any of the following conditions exist:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Non-compliant diabetes. It is essential to heal well and adhere to your doctor’s recommended diet and medication.
  • If you are currently using Accutane or other strong retinoids (after 6 months, it is allowed).
  • If you have sunburn on the treatment area.
  • If less than 48 – 72 hours have passed since waxing.

Semi-Permanent Makeup is not recommended if you have any of the following conditions or symptoms on the treatment area:

  • Skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, scabies, ringworm, acne, allergic reactions, boils, wounds, severe scaling keratosis, or damaged capillaries.
  • If you have undergone a strong chemical peel, dermabrasion, immunotherapy, or any other intense skin resurfacing treatment. The skin needs to be free from irritation and should be stopped 2 – 3 weeks before any treatment.

Moles do not retain pigment, so they will still remain after the procedure. Your technician will work around the area.

If you have any allergies, it is important to notify your technician as numbing agents are used during the procedure.

Inform your technician if you have previously had any type of treatment done to the treatment area. For optimal results, any previous permanent makeup should be very faded or almost undetectable. If there are still green, blue, or red tones from past botched permanent makeup procedures, it is recommended to have it removed by laser from a trained professional before attempting any treatment. You can send a picture to your technician to help determine the severity.

To maintain a sterile environment and ensure patented techniques are followed, no other person or animal is allowed in the room during the procedure.

To secure an appointment, a retainer fee of $100 is required, which will be deducted from the total service cost. This is to respect our time and prevent “no-shows.”

Failure to inform us of any of the above conditions before your appointment will result in the forfeiture of your retainer. We prioritize your safety and aim to achieve the best results and satisfaction.

Reminders

Please keep in mind the following important reminders for Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), Scar Reduction Skin Camouflage, Eyebrow Embroidery & Microblading, Lip Blushing (Color Correction), and Korean Eyeliner Embroidery:

  • Use a fresh pillowcase while you sleep to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • You may apply a clean ice pack, protected with a paper towel or cloth, for 10-minute intervals during the first 48 hours to help reduce swelling or discomfort.
  • Avoid rubbing, picking, or scratching the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate. It is normal to feel itchy, but scratching or picking can lead to scarring or loss of color.
  • Refrain from wearing makeup on the treated area for 7 days to allow for proper healing.
  • Avoid facials, , chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks after the procedure to prevent any interference with the healing process.
  • Steer clear of hot, sweaty exercise for one week to avoid excessive sweating in the treated area.
  • Protect the treated area from direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks following the procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors to shield the area from the sun.
  • Avoid taking long, hot showers for the first 10 days to prevent the treated area from being exposed to excessive heat or steam.
  • Refrain from sleeping on your face for the first 10 days to avoid putting pressure on the treated area.
  • Avoid face-down swimming, lakes, and hot tubs for the first 10 days as water exposure may affect the healing process.
  • Do not apply topical makeup or sunscreen directly on the treated area during the healing process.

Remember that following the proper preparation and aftercare routine is crucial for achieving optimal results with your semi-permanent makeup procedure.

Important Note about Showering: During showers, limit the steam exposure to your face by keeping your treatment area out of the water while washing your body. Towards the end of your shower, you can wash your hair, allowing some water to gently touch your face. Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.

Please be aware that in extreme cases, prolonged exposure to chlorine, exfoliation creams, or direct sunlight can cause colors to fade.

Failure to follow the post-procedure instructions may result in pigment loss, discoloration, or infection. Refunds are not offered for services that have already been performed.
