First introduced in Asia, microblading is a popular form of eyebrow embroidery that offers a semi-permanent solution for correcting or reconstructing lost eyebrow hairs. This procedure, often referred to as hairstroke tattooing, aims to define, shape, and enhance the fullness of the eyebrows.
Microblading involves the careful insertion of pigment under the top layer of the skin using a specialized pen with a sterile needle. Unlike traditional permanent makeup brow treatments, microblading is specifically designed to mimic the appearance of natural eyebrow hairs. The blade of the microblading pen is significantly thinner than tattooing needles and does not penetrate as deeply into the skin. As a result, the discomfort experienced during the procedure is minimal, and the outcomes are semi-permanent in nature.
