Who is a Candidate for Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)?
Scalp Micropigmentation is a solution for anyone experiencing thinning hair or hair loss—not just men. While SMP is highly effective for men with pattern baldness or permanent hair loss, it is also suitable for women experiencing similar concerns. You may be a candidate for SMP if you:
Have been diagnosed with Alopecia Areata
Are noticing signs of pattern baldness
Have a receding hairline
Have bald patches or thinning hair
Are undergoing cancer treatments
If you feel you may be a good candidate and are interested in becoming our model, please complete the provided form.
Who Should Not Undergo SMP:
Cancer patients
Individuals with diabetes
Those with anemia
Pregnant women
People with active scalp acne
Individuals with psoriasis
Are You a Good Candidate for Camouflage Tattooing?
Camouflage tattooing is an effective solution for concealing scars or discolorations, but it isn’t suitable for every skin type. Ideal candidates typically have scars or discolored areas on skin that is not frequently exposed to sunlight, as sun-exposed skin can change color, making it difficult for the tattooed area to blend seamlessly.
Good candidates also have scars or discolorations that have been present for at least six months, with fully healed scars being preferably nine months or older. Tattooing on unhealed scars can risk further damage and reduce the effectiveness of the procedure.
Other key factors for suitability include:
Flat scars: Camouflage tattooing works best on flat scars. While it can hide raised scars to some extent, it is most effective on smooth surfaces.
No dark edges: Scars without dark edges yield the best results. Tattooing over scars with dark edges may result in darker pigmentation.
Who Should Not Undergo Scar Camouflage:
Individuals with freckles
Those with age spots
People with spider veins
Individuals with port-wine birthmarks
Those with hyperpigmentation
Individuals with unstable vitiligo
By evaluating these factors, you can determine whether camouflage tattooing is a safe and effective option for your skin.
Is Eyebrow Embroidery Right for You?
Eyebrow embroidery may not be suitable for everyone, depending on skin type or health conditions.
Oily skin can cause strokes to blur, resulting in a solid effect rather than the desired feathered look.
Sensitive skin may bleed, making microblading less suitable.
Skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, keratosis pilaris, or dermatitis can prevent pigment from holding properly due to flaking and irritation. In such cases, microshading may be a better alternative.
Additional considerations:
Expecting mothers are advised to wait until after delivery.
Individuals with autoimmune diseases should refrain from microblading entirely.
When in doubt, always prioritize safety and seek medical advice from a qualified doctor before proceeding.
Is Brow Lamination Right for You?
Brow lamination is a versatile treatment suitable for almost anyone looking to enhance the appearance of their eyebrows. However, certain factors can influence the results. Consider the following when determining if you are a good candidate:
Thick, unruly eyebrows: Helps to tame and keep brows in place.
Sparse brows: Creates the appearance of fuller, more defined brows.
Asymmetrical brows: Balances and evens out uneven brows.
Straight brows: Adds a more defined arch and structure.
When Brow Lamination May Not Be Suitable:
Sensitive skin: Chemicals used in the treatment may cause irritation.
Skin conditions: Conditions such as eczema or psoriasis may be aggravated.
Allergies: Avoid if you are allergic to any of the products used.
Recent surgeries or injuries: Wait until the area around your eyes has fully healed.
By considering these factors, you can ensure that brow lamination is both safe and effective for your brows.
Who Are Good Candidates for BB Glow?
BB Glow is ideal for individuals looking to improve the appearance and texture of their skin. Good candidates typically have:
Dull or uneven skin texture
Freckles
Hyperpigmentation
Post-acne scars
Age spots or sun spots
Early signs of aging or lax skin
Wrinkles and fine lines
Who Should Avoid BB Glow?
BB Glow is not recommended for individuals with:
Pregnancy or nursing
Skin cancer or active skin disease
Active infections or open wounds
Recent use of Accutane (within the past 6 months)
Allergies or intolerance to the treatment ingredients
Melanoma or other skin lesions
Injectable fillers in the last 2 weeks
Blood-thinning medications
Immunosuppression (due to increased risk of infection post-needling)
Proceed with Caution:
Certain conditions require extra care or pre-treatment preparation:
History of cold sores or fever blisters: Consider anti-viral medication 2 days before and after treatment to prevent outbreaks.
Smoking: May affect results due to lipid peroxidation.
Uncontrolled diabetes: Delayed wound healing may increase risk of infection.
Keloid or raised scars
Active acne breakouts
By evaluating these factors, you can ensure that BB Glow is performed safely and effectively for the best results.
