Brow Embroidery & Microblading

Wake up with brows already done. We map and shape to your face — not to a template — then build hair strokes or a soft powder finish that grows out gradually rather than turning hard or grey.

What it actually is

Semi-permanent, not a tattoo

Brow embroidery deposits pigment into the upper layers of the skin to rebuild or reshape brows that are sparse, uneven, over-plucked, or gone altogether. Because the pigment sits shallower than a traditional tattoo, it fades gradually over 12 to 24 months rather than staying put and turning blue.

That fading is a feature, not a flaw. Brow fashions move, and so do faces. You're not committing to one shape for the rest of your life.

We map your shape against your bone structure and existing hair before any pigment goes in, and we show you the outline first. Nothing starts until you're happy with the shape.

Techniques

Five finishes, one price

You do not need to choose a technique before booking. Start with the finish you like, and we can consider your skin type, natural brow hair and preferred level of definition during your consultation.

Natural hair-stroke finish

Microblading

Fine, hair-like strokes are created with a handheld tool so the result blends into your natural brow hair rather than looking filled in.

May suitNormal to dry skin, sparse brows with some natural hair, and clients who prefer a soft hair-stroke look.
Keep in mindOn oilier skin, very fine strokes can heal softer or blur more quickly.

Soft shaded finish

Microshading

Small dots of pigment create gentle density through the brow, similar to the effect of lightly filling it with brow pencil or powder.

May suitCombination or oily skin, and brows that need more fullness rather than individual hair strokes alone.

Soft makeup-style gradient

Ombre / Powder Brows

Pigment is built in a gradient, with a softer front and more definition towards the tail for a polished, filled-in brow effect.

May suitOily or mature skin, or anyone who normally fills in their brows and prefers a more defined finish.

Fine needle hair strokes

Nano brows (nanoblading)

Hair-like strokes are created using a very fine needle rather than a manual blade, giving another option for clients who like a natural stroke pattern.

May suitFine natural brow hair, sensitive skin, or clients who like a hair-stroke result but may not be the best match for classic microblading.

Very subtle enhancement

Feathering

Light strokes are added mainly where the natural brow is thin or patchy, so the result works with the brow you already have rather than rebuilding the whole shape.

May suitBrows that are already fairly full but have a few sparse areas, or clients who want a particularly subtle change.

Brow shading technique during permanent makeup treatment
Soft shading can add density where individual strokes alone are not enough.
Close-up brow stroke technique during embroidery treatment
Stroke direction follows the natural brow pattern for a softer finish.

Honest assessment

Is this right for you?

If we feel the treatment is not suitable for your skin or is unlikely to heal well, we will explain this clearly and recommend waiting or considering another option where appropriate.

This will likely work well for you

  • Your brows are sparse, patchy, uneven or over-plucked
  • You fill your brows in most mornings and are tired of it
  • You swim, exercise or live somewhere humid — and your brows don't survive it
  • You've lost brow hair through age, alopecia or treatment
  • Your skin is generally healthy and not currently broken out in the brow area

Oily skin isn't a barrier — it just changes which technique we recommend. Ombre and nano hold far better than classic microblading on oily skin.

Let's talk first, or wait

  • You're pregnant or breastfeeding — we'll see you afterwards
  • You've taken Accutane or oral retinoids in the last 12 months
  • You have an autoimmune condition, or you're on blood thinners
  • You have active eczema, psoriasis, acne or broken skin on the brow area
  • You have diabetes, or are undergoing chemotherapy
  • You have existing brow work from elsewhere that hasn't faded

Many of these concerns are temporary or depend on timing. Please message us with your situation and we will explain whether it is suitable to proceed now or whether it would be better to wait.

On the day

What actually happens

Two to two and a half hours, most of it spent getting the shape right before anything permanent happens.

Consultation & colour

We talk through what you want, check your skin type, and pick a pigment against your hair and skin tone. Bring a photo if you have one in mind.

~20 minutes

Mapping & your approval

We measure and draw the shape on with pencil. You look in the mirror. We adjust until you're happy. Nothing permanent starts until you say yes.

~30 minutes

Numbing, then pigment

Topical numbing cream goes on and takes effect before we begin. Most clients describe the sensation as scratching rather than pain — many doze off.

~60–80 minutes

Aftercare briefing

We go through washing, moisturising and what to avoid before you leave. Message us on WhatsApp if anything concerns you afterwards.

~10 minutes
Brow embroidery procedure with pigment ring and sterile handpiece
Technique and pigment are built gradually rather than applied in one heavy pass.
Brow embroidery procedure on a client at close range
Small sections are worked carefully while the brow shape stays visible throughout the procedure.

The full detail

Before, during and after

Everything you'd want to know, tucked away so it's here when you need it and out of the way when you don't.

Before your appointment

In the 24–48 hours before

  • No alcohol for 24 hours — it thins the blood and increases bleeding, which pushes pigment out.
  • No caffeine on the morning of your appointment, for the same reason.
  • Avoid blood thinners — aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E — for 48 hours, unless prescribed. Never stop prescribed medication without speaking to your doctor.
  • No sunbathing or tanning for a week beforehand. Sunburnt or peeling skin can't be worked on.

Brow hair

  • Don't wax, thread or tint for at least a week before. We need to see your natural growth to map properly.
  • Don't pluck at all in the week before — even the strays. They may turn out to sit inside the shape we design.

On the day

  • Please come with clean skin and no brow makeup if you can.
  • Please eat beforehand. It's a two-hour appointment lying down.
  • Please bring a reference photo if you have one, but be open — what suits your bone structure may not be what suited the person in the picture.
Aftercare — the four things that decide your result

Healing is roughly half the outcome. Brows that heal badly almost always do so because of what happened in the first ten days, not because of what happened in the chair.

1 · Absorb

  • For the first few hours, gently blot with a clean tissue every 20–30 minutes to lift lymph fluid. Left to sit, it forms heavy scabs that pull pigment out with them.

2 · Wash

  • From the next morning, wash gently once or twice a day with clean fingertips and a mild, fragrance-free cleanser. Pat dry with a clean tissue.
  • This feels counterintuitive — people assume they should keep brows dry. Gentle cleansing prevents thick scabbing, which is what actually costs you pigment.

3 · Moisturise

  • A rice-grain amount of the ointment we give you, twice a day. More is not better — smothering the area starves it of air.

4 · Leave them alone

  • Do not pick, scratch or peel. Flaking is normal. Pulling a flake off early takes the pigment underneath with it.
  • Sleep on your back if you can, on a clean pillowcase.

Avoid for the first 7–10 days

  • Makeup on or near the brows
  • Swimming pools, saunas, steam rooms and hot yoga
  • Heavy sweating and intense exercise
  • Direct sun on the brow area
  • Facials, chemical peels, retinol and exfoliating acids near the area

Long term: once healed, sunscreen on the brows can help protect the pigment from UV exposure, which can contribute to faster fading.

Healing timeline — day by day, so nothing surprises you

Almost every panicked message we get comes on day 5 to 7. Read this before your appointment and you'll recognise each stage as normal.

  • Days 1–2 — boldBrows look much darker and sharper than the final result. This is expected. Do not judge them now.
  • Days 3–5 — darkestPigment oxidises and looks its most intense. Light flaking begins.
  • Days 5–8 — flakingScabs and flakes come away. Brows may look patchy or as if pigment has vanished. This is the stage people panic. Don't. Do not pick.
  • Days 8–14 — the "ghost" phaseBrows look far too light, sometimes almost gone. The pigment is still there, sitting under fresh skin that hasn't settled.
  • Days 14–30 — returnColour comes back up as the skin settles. Roughly 20–40% lighter than day one, which is the intended result.
  • Days 30–40 — healedWhat you see now is your healed result. This is when we assess whether a touch-up is needed.

The touch-up isn't optional in practice. Skin takes pigment unevenly and almost everybody needs refinement. That's why the first one is free within the first month.

Terms, conditions and medical notes

Please don't book if you

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have taken Accutane or oral retinoids in the past 12 months
  • Have an autoimmune condition, or are undergoing chemotherapy
  • Are taking prescribed blood thinners (talk to us and your doctor first)
  • Have diabetes, or a history of keloid scarring
  • Have active acne, eczema, psoriasis or broken skin near the brows
  • Have had Botox or filler in the brow area within two weeks

Existing work from elsewhere

Send a clear, well-lit photo before booking. We can often work over faded work, but not over anything still dark, and not over anything that has turned grey, blue or red without correction first — which is a separate treatment.

Patch testing

If you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions to pigments, dyes or topical anaesthetics, tell us when you enquire and we'll arrange a patch test.

Appointments & deposits

  • A booking deposit secures your appointment and is deducted from the final price.
  • Please give at least 72 hours' notice to reschedule.
  • Deposits for late cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable — a two-and-a-half hour slot can't be refilled at short notice.

This page is general information, not medical advice. If you have a health condition or take regular medication, check with your doctor before booking.

Common questions

The things clients ask most

Does it hurt?

Topical numbing cream is applied before the treatment begins. Sensation varies from person to person, but clients commonly describe the treatment as a light scratching or tickling feeling rather than sharp pain.

Will it look fake or too dark?

For the first three to five days, yes — they'll look bolder than the final result, and that's normal. By day 30 the colour has settled roughly 20–40% lighter. Every photo in our gallery is shot at 30+ days healed, so what you see there is what you'll actually live with.

How long does it really last?

Twelve to twenty-four months, depending on your skin type, sun exposure and skincare. Oily skin and daily retinol both shorten it. Sunscreen on the brows once healed is the single biggest thing you can do to make it last.

What if I don't like the shape?

You approve the shape in pencil, in the mirror, before any pigment goes in — and we'll redraw it as many times as it takes. Nothing permanent happens until you've said yes to what you can see.

Can I still do this if my skin is oily?

Yes. Oily skin just changes which technique we'd recommend — ombre powder or nanoblading hold up much better than classic microblading, where fine strokes can blur as they heal.

I already have brow work from somewhere else.

Send us a clear, well-lit photo in daylight before you book. We can usually work over faded previous work. If yours is still dark, or has healed grey, blue or reddish, it needs colour correction first — that's a different treatment and we'll quote for it separately.

How soon can I get back to normal?

Straight away, with three caveats for the first 7–10 days: no makeup on the brows, no swimming or saunas, and no heavy sweating. There's no visible downtime — you can go back to work the same day.

Where are you and how do I get there?

B1-08 Spazio @ Kovan, 767 Upper Serangoon Road, Singapore 534635. Kovan and Serangoon MRT are both nearby, with bus stops along Upper Serangoon Road.
