What it actually is

Nothing is added — your hair just changes direction

A lifting solution softens the structure of your brow hairs so they can be brushed into a new direction, then a setting solution locks that shape in. A conditioning step follows, then we shape and tint.

The effect is fullness without pigment. Hairs that grew downward or sideways now sit upward, which covers gaps and makes the brow read as thicker than it is.

Nothing goes into your skin and nothing is permanent. It grows out completely in four to six weeks. If you're curious about semi-permanent brows but not ready to commit, this is the low-risk way to see what a fuller brow looks like on your face.

Honest assessment

Is this right for you?

Lamination needs hair to work with. It rearranges what's there — it can't create what isn't.

This will likely work well for you

  • Your brow hairs grow downward, sideways or in different directions
  • You have gaps that would close if the hairs sat differently
  • You brush your brows up with gel every morning and want it to just stay
  • You want fuller-looking brows without anything semi-permanent
  • You've got a wedding, holiday or event coming up

Sparse brows with genuinely little hair? Lamination won't help much — brow embroidery is what actually adds density.

Let's talk first, or wait

  • Your brows are very sparse — there needs to be hair to lift
  • You've had lamination in the last 5–6 weeks — over-processing makes hair brittle
  • You have active eczema, psoriasis or broken skin on the brow area
  • You've had a reaction to perming or tinting solutions before
  • You're pregnant or breastfeeding — many clients proceed, but check with your doctor
  • You've just had brow embroidery — wait until it's fully healed

Many of these concerns are temporary or depend on timing. Please send us a photo and we can advise whether brow lamination is suitable now or whether it would be better to wait.

On the day

What actually happens

Under an hour, sitting up, with your eyes open most of the time.

Assessment & shape

We look at your natural growth pattern and hair thickness, and agree the shape we're working toward. Lamination reveals gaps, so shaping matters more than people expect.

~10 min

Lift

Lifting solution applied and brushed into direction. Timed to your hair coarseness — fine hair processes much faster than thick.

~10–15 min

Set & nourish

Setting solution locks the new direction, then a nourishing treatment goes on to counter the drying effect.

~15 min

Tint, shape & aftercare

Tint to match your hair, then shaping, then we brief you on aftercare.

The full detail

Before, during and after

Everything you'd want to know, tucked away so it's here when you need it and out of the way when you don't.

Before your appointment
  • Please come with clean brows — no makeup, gel or pencil
  • Please don't wax, thread or tint for at least a week beforehand
  • Avoid retinol or exfoliating acids on the brow area for 3–4 days
  • If you've had brow embroidery, wait until it's fully healed (about 6 weeks)
  • Please tell us if you've reacted to hair dye, perm solution or tinting before
Aftercare

First 24 hours — the part that decides whether it holds

  • Keep them completely dry. No water, steam, sweat, sauna or swimming.
  • No makeup on or around the brows
  • Don't touch, rub or brush them
  • Try to sleep on your back

After that

  • Brush upward with a clean spoolie each morning — that's all the styling they need
  • A drop of castor oil or brow serum a few times a week keeps them conditioned. Lifting solutions are drying, and this genuinely extends the result.
  • Avoid oil-based cleansers directly on the brows
  • Wear sunscreen — UV fades the tint faster than anything else
How long it lasts, and when to rebook

Four to six weeks. The tint usually fades first, at around two to three weeks, while the lift holds longer.

Please wait at least five to six weeks between treatments. Laminating hair that's still processing from last time is how brows end up frizzy and brittle. If you come back early we will let you know, so your brows have time to recover.

Coming for a one-off event? Book five to seven days beforehand. Freshly laminated brows settle over the first few days and photograph better once they have.

Terms and safety
  • Patch tests available on request — ask when you book, not on the day
  • Tell us about skin conditions, recent treatments or any allergy to dyes and perming solutions
  • Results vary with hair thickness and density; coarser hair may hold the lifted direction more strongly, while very fine hair can respond more subtly
  • A booking deposit secures your appointment. Please give at least 72 hours' notice if you need to reschedule.

Common questions

The things clients ask most

Is this permanent?

No. Nothing goes into your skin — we're only changing the direction your existing hairs sit in. It grows out completely in four to six weeks.

How is it different from brow embroidery?

Lamination reshapes the hair you have and lasts 4–6 weeks for S$80. Embroidery puts pigment into the skin, lasts 12–24 months and costs S$320. Lamination is the low-commitment option, and a good way to see whether you like a fuller brow before committing to something semi-permanent.

Will it damage my brow hair?

Not when the timing is right. Damage comes from over-processing — leaving solutions on too long, or laminating again too soon. We set timings from your hair coarseness rather than a fixed clock, and we may recommend waiting a little longer before your next lamination so the brow hair has time to recover.

Does it hurt?

No. It's all topical and you're sitting up for most of it. Some people find the setting solution smells strong for a minute or two.

Will it work on sparse brows?

Partly. Lamination can make gaps less noticeable by redirecting existing brow hairs. If there is very little natural hair in the area, brow embroidery may be a more suitable option because it adds the appearance of density with pigment.

Can I wear brow makeup afterwards?

After 24 hours, yes. Many clients find they need less brow makeup after lamination, but you can continue using your usual products once the initial aftercare period has passed.

How soon before a wedding should I book?

A booking deposit is required to secure a confirmed service appointment and is deducted from the final service total. We will send the booking details by message.

Can I combine it with a lash lift?

Yes, and lots of people do. Both together is around two hours and S$145. Same appointment, same chemistry family.
