Who takes this course
A practical first service to learn
Brow lamination is a practical service to learn if you would like to work with natural brow hair, shaping, tinting and a structured step-by-step treatment process.
Adding a new brow service
45 to 60 minutes an appointment, minimal kit, and a result dramatic enough that clients photograph it themselves. Very easy to build word of mouth on.
One day is all you have
Weekday or weekend, one model, certificate before you leave. No multi-day commitment to arrange childcare around.
Already doing lashes
Your lash clients almost all want their brows done too. This adds S$80 to an appointment they're already booking.
What you'll learn
One day, start to finish
Chemistry and safety in the morning, a live model in the afternoon. Bundle it with the Keratin Lash Lift and you cover both in two days.
AM Chemistry, shaping and safetyTheory — the part that stops you damaging anyone
- Brow hair structure, and how lamination actually changes its direction
- The lifting, setting and nourishing steps — what each does
- Processing times: how over-processing can lead to frizzy, brittle or over-lifted brows
- Reading hair thickness and coarseness to set timings, rather than following a clock
- Brow shaping and mapping — because lamination reveals every gap
- Tinting: shade selection, timing and the difference on fair versus dark hair
- Contraindications, patch testing and when to say no
PM A full lamination on a live modelHands-on, supervised, plus business
- Cleansing, sectioning and brushing into the set direction
- Applying and timing each solution on a live model
- Shaping and tinting to finish
- Aftercare — the 24-hour rules that decide whether it holds
- Diagnosing a poor result: frizzy, over-lifted, gappy
- Pricing, the 4–6 week rebooking rhythm, and how to photograph the before/after
- Final assessment and your certificate

Questions about this course
Is one day really enough?
For lamination, yes. It's a chemical process with a handful of variables rather than a manual skill needing hundreds of repetitions. The morning is theory because timing is what protects your clients; the afternoon is a full treatment on a live model.
What's the difference between lamination and brow embroidery?
Lamination reshapes the brow hairs you already have and lasts around four to six weeks. Embroidery adds pigment to the skin and lasts around twelve to twenty-four months. Lamination is S$80 and is a shorter-term treatment, while embroidery is S$320 and semi-permanent. They are different services, and some artists choose to offer both.
Can I damage someone's brows?
Yes, if you over-process — that's how brows end up frizzy or brittle. It's entirely avoidable, and it's why we spend the morning on reading hair condition and setting timings from that rather than following a fixed clock.
Do I need a model?
Yes, one model is required for the practical portion. Please arrange a family member or close friend where possible. If you cannot bring a model, please tell us in advance; an in-house model may be arranged for a fee, subject to availability.
What should I consider when adding brow lamination as a service?
Brow lamination is a relatively short appointment, but good results still depend on correct processing time, hair assessment, shaping, tinting and aftercare. The course covers both the treatment itself and practical client-care considerations.
Should I bundle it with the lash lift?
You can take both courses if you would like to offer lash lift and brow lamination. They are separate courses, and each has its own Jealash Academy certificate of completion, so you can choose the service you want to learn first.
Do I need previous beauty experience?
No prior beauty experience is required for this beginner course. We teach the foundations before moving into practical work, and classes are kept to a maximum of six students.
What happens after I complete the course?
After successful completion, you can continue practising the service and use your professional business kit. Graduates also receive the complimentary Lash Pod entitlement described on our Lash Pods page, subject to booking availability and the refundable booking deposit.

Also worth a look
Students often pair this with

Japan Keratin Eyelash Lift
The natural pair. Bundle both and you can offer a client lashes and brows in one appointment.

Brow Embroidery & Microblading
A separate brow pathway covering semi-permanent eyebrow techniques, with results that may last around 12–24 months depending on the individual.

Signature Eyelash Masterclass
Extensions commonly need infills every 2–3 weeks, so client rebooking and retention are useful parts of the service to learn.
