What it actually is
Darker lashes, right to the root
A gentle dye applied to your lashes, left for a few minutes, then removed. Lashes look darker, thicker and more defined without mascara.
Tinting tends to make the biggest visible difference on fair, greying or naturally light lashes. On naturally dark lashes, the change is usually more subtle.
With every Jealash Keratin Lash Lift: the tint is complimentary because it helps define the lifted lashes from root to tip.

If your lashes are naturally very dark, the effect will be subtle. We'll say so rather than let you expect more.

On the day
What actually happens
Fifteen to twenty minutes, usually tacked onto another treatment.
Protect
Under-eye pads go on to shield the lower lid and keep tint off the skin.
Apply
Tint brushed through the lashes from root to tip, including the fine inner-corner lashes mascara always misses.
Develop
Left to develop with your eyes closed. Longer on fair lashes, shorter on dark.
Remove & check
Gently removed, pads off, mirror check.

Everything you'd want to know, tucked away so it's here when you need it and out of the way when you don't.
Before your appointment
- No eye makeup on the day if possible
- Please remove your contact lenses, or bring a case with you
- Please tell us about any previous reaction to dyes — patch tests need arranging in advance
Aftercare
- Avoid water on the lashes for 12 hours
- Avoid oil-based makeup remover, as it can make the tint fade more quickly
- Everything else back to normal straight away
How long it lasts
Up to two weeks, fading gradually as lashes shed and regrow. Shorter if you use oil-based cleansers or swim often.
Tinting is included at no extra charge with every Jealash Keratin Lash Lift. If you only want a tint, message us and we can confirm whether a standalone tint appointment is suitable and available.

Does it hurt or sting?
No. Your eyes stay closed throughout. If any tint does reach the eye it's rinsed immediately.
How long does it last?
Up to two weeks, fading gradually as your lashes shed and regrow.
Can I have it without a lash lift?
Possibly. Our main lash-tint offering is complimentary with every Jealash Keratin Lash Lift. If you only want a tint, message us and we can confirm standalone availability.
Will it work on my already-dark lashes?
The difference will be subtle. Tinting shows most on fair, red or greying lashes.
Can I have it with lash extensions?
Yes, and it's often worth it — tinting your natural lashes underneath means no pale gaps show as extensions grow out.
Do I need a patch test?
Only if you've reacted to hair dye or tinting products before, or have very sensitive skin. Ask when you book rather than on the day.
