Who takes this course

You don't need a beauty background

Many students join this course with no previous beauty-industry experience. Some are learning for a new career direction, while others want a practical skill they can develop gradually alongside their existing commitments.

Career switchers

You may be exploring a new practical skill alongside your current work, or considering beauty as a longer-term direction. The course is designed for complete beginners.

Parents wanting flexibility

Beauty work can offer more control over how you arrange your working hours. Some students train because they would like a skill that can fit more flexibly around family or other commitments.

Side-hustlers already doing beauty

You already offer services such as nails, henna or makeup and would like to add eyelash extensions. Because lash work is performed close to the eye, structured training and supervised practice are especially important.

What you'll learn

Four days of structured training

Days 1–2 are the Basic course and can be taken alone. Days 3–4 are Advanced. Take all four together and you save S$188.

1DAY Foundations, safety and your first lashesBasic course · theory and supervised practice
  • How natural lashes grow — the three phases of the cycle, and why this decides retention
  • Sterilisation, hygiene and the safety standards a professional room runs to
  • Your tools: tweezer types, tapes, primers, and what each one is actually for
  • Adhesive science — humidity, temperature, cure time, and choosing the right glue
  • Preparing the eye and lashes: cleansing, patching, mapping the lash line
  • First isolation practice on a training mannequin before you go near a person
2DAY Classic 1D on a live modelBasic course · your first full set
  • Classic 1D application from start to finish on your own model
  • Building speed while keeping isolation clean and controlled
  • Placement, direction and symmetry across both eyes
  • Touch-ups, refills and safe removal
  • Pre-care and post-care instructions to give your clients
  • The beginner mistakes that cost retention, and how to spot them in your own work
3DAY Volume fundamentalsAdvanced course · 2D through 9D
  • What volume actually is, and when it's the wrong choice for a client's natural lashes
  • Handmade fanning — the grip, the pinch, the timing
  • Interlocking technique for fans that hold their shape
  • Building 2D, 3D, 5D and up to 9D
  • Lash weight conversion — how to stay inside what a client's natural lash can carry
  • Diagnosing a bad fan and fixing it rather than starting over
4DAY Styling, design and the business halfAdvanced course · plus pricing and client growth
  • Russian Volume and Camellia Volume styles
  • Lash mapping and design — matching a set to the client's eye shape, not a picture on Instagram
  • Taking clear before-and-after photos for your portfolio
  • Pricing considerations for new lash artists
  • Client communication, rebooking and retention basics
  • Final assessment on a live model, and your certificate

Questions about this course

I've genuinely never done this before. Will I keep up?

Yes. The course is designed for complete beginners. Day 1 focuses on theory and mannequin practice before you move on to live-model work. Everyone learns at a different pace, and your trainer will guide you through the techniques step by step with time for practice and questions.

Do I have to bring my own models?

Two models are required for the full four-day masterclass, or one for Basic or Advanced when taken separately. Please arrange family members or close friends where possible. If you cannot bring a model, please tell us in advance; an in-house model may be arranged for S$100 per lash-extension service, subject to availability.

Should I take Basic and Advanced together, or split them?

The Basic and Advanced parts are designed to build on one another, so taking the full masterclass gives you a continuous learning pathway from classic technique into volume work. Training dates are arranged with you and may be spread across the agreed schedule. The Basic and Advanced courses can also be taken separately if that suits your learning plans better.

How long until I can charge clients?

After graduation, you can keep practising while using your complimentary Lash Pod sessions to ease into taking clients at your own pace.

What if I'm slow on the day?

Everyone is. One of our students spent about six hours on her first full set while her model lay there patiently. Our trainer didn't take over — she gave her a break to rest her eyes and let her finish it herself. That's the whole point of four days instead of one.

What certificate will I receive?

Upon successful completion, you will receive a Jealash Academy certificate of completion for the course completed.

When are classes available?

Weekday and weekend dates are available. Please message us with your preferred dates and we will check the current schedule.

Where exactly are you?

B1-08 Spazio @ Kovan, 767 Upper Serangoon Road, Singapore 534635. Kovan and Serangoon MRT are both nearby, with bus stops along Upper Serangoon Road.
