If you have zero beauty experience, do not start with “which course earns the most?”
Start with:
How much time and money am I comfortable investing before I know whether I actually enjoy doing this?
That question changes everything.
A one-day Brow Lamination course at S$550 is a very different commitment from a six-day PMU programme at S$3,850.
Both can be sensible first choices.
It depends on you.

Route 1: Start with one day and find out whether you enjoy client work
For a complete beginner, there is a lot to be said for learning one focused service first.
You experience:
- working close to a real client
- product timing
- hygiene and setup
- following a treatment sequence
- managing a model
- taking responsibility for the result
If you love the process, you can build from there.
If you discover that detailed beauty work is not for you, you found out after one day rather than after a six-day programme.
Option A: Brow Lamination, Lift & Tint — Jealash
1 day · S$550 · 1 model
Jealash’s Brow Lamination course covers:
- brow-hair structure
- lifting and setting products
- product timing
- direction and styling
- shaping
- tinting
- conditioning
- troubleshooting
- aftercare
Why it is a sensible first course
It works with the client’s natural brow hairs rather than semi-permanent pigment.
That means you can experience professional brow work before deciding whether you want to move into PMU.
Quiet advantage at Jealash
Eligible graduates receive the same broader post-course ecosystem Jealash has built around its academy, including complimentary Lash Pod access.
Option B: Japan Keratin Lash Lift — Jealash
1 day · S$650 · 1 model
A lash lift reshapes the client’s natural lashes over a silicone shield using lifting and setting solutions.
The current course covers:
- lash structure and growth
- shield selection
- lift chemistry
- timing
- over-processing
- keratin conditioning
- live-model application
- aftercare
- troubleshooting
The standalone course does not include lash tinting.
Who it suits
Someone who likes natural-lash treatments but does not want to begin with the repetitive isolation involved in extensions.
Other lower-commitment alternatives worth knowing
You do not have to start at Jealash.
Lash Institute — Korean Premium Lash Lift
S$621 promotional · 1-to-1 · approximately 3 hours · 1 model
A strong option if one-to-one teaching matters more to you than joining a small group.
SOQ — entry lash routes
SOQ publishes several entry options, including a Level 1 workshop at S$360 nett and a separate two-day Certificate in Eyelash Extension listed from S$280.
Its Level 1 route is mannequin-based and uses published entry requirements.
The Beauty Recipe — Korean Single Strand lashes
S$599 total · 2 days / 15 hours
A lower-fee lash-extension option with a detailed practical/theory breakdown.
Its lash page still uses SkillsFuture wording, but the eligibility period displayed for that particular course ended in 2023. Verify current eligibility before relying on it.
These alternatives are useful because “cheapest” and “best” are not the same question.
What beauty training feels like in real life
Photos help answer something a syllabus cannot: “Can I picture myself actually doing this?”

Route 2: Four days — when you already know which area you like
If you already know you enjoy lashes or brows, a multi-day course gives you more room to build the actual technique.
At Jealash, the two main four-day pathways are extremely different.
Eyelash Extensions — for repetitive precision and repeat-client services
Jealash Signature Basic + Advanced: 4 days · S$1,688 promotional through 31 October 2026 · 2 models · max 6
Lash extensions require one hand to isolate an individual natural lash while the other controls the extension and adhesive.
Then you repeat it.
Again.
And again.
A technically clean full set requires patience and coordination more than “being naturally artistic”.
Jealash’s course begins with Basic foundations and progresses into Volume concepts.
The current combined-course certificate records 20 hours of hands-on training.
Why this pathway can make business sense
Lash clients generally need ongoing maintenance and refills.
That does not guarantee income, but it creates the possibility of recurring appointments rather than relying only on one-off services.
Jealash’s strongest differentiator here
After graduation, eligible students receive complimentary Lash Pod access so they can continue practising or serve their own clients without immediately signing a commercial lease.
This post-course transition was also featured by MustShareNews in August 2026. Sponsored feature.
Jealash’s reviews page currently also reports 160+ Google reviews at 4.9★, covering students and treatment clients.

Brow Embroidery & Microblading — for design, mapping and semi-permanent work
Jealash: 4 days · S$2,750 promotional through 31 October 2026 · max 6 · 1 training model + 1 supervised post-course model
Brow embroidery is a different kind of responsibility.
Before technique comes design.
You need to:
- analyse the client’s brow and face
- map the shape
- agree the design
- select an appropriate technique
- understand pigment and skin fundamentals
- work carefully with a result intended to last
Jealash’s course introduces manual and machine approaches including microblading, hair strokes, manual shading, microshading and Ombré / Powder concepts.
Why we added a supervised session after the course
A student’s first questions after graduation are often different from the ones they had during class.
So after successful completion, the Brow Embroidery course includes another supervised live-model session within 30 days.
The trainer stays nearby while the graduate completes the work.
That gives students one more bridge between “student in class” and “working independently”.

Route 3: Six days — if you already know PMU is the direction
Jealash Professional Brow, Lip & Eyeliner Embroidery Masterclass
6 days · S$3,850 promotional through 31 October 2026
This course combines:
- Brow Embroidery
- Lip Blushing with Colour Correction
- Korean Eyeliner Embroidery
Students work on three models during the programme.
The current certificate records 30 hours of professional training.
After successful completion, students also receive three supervised post-course sessions within 30 days:
- 1 Brow
- 1 Lip
- 1 Eyeliner
This is a substantial commitment.
We would not recommend it simply because it is the largest package.
It makes more sense when you already know you want multiple PMU services.
Alternatives to compare before committing to full PMU
A thorough buyer should compare Jealash against other structures.
The Beauty Recipe
Publishes a four-day, 33-hour Brow + Eyeliner + Lips course at S$2,000 total including a machine.
Its course page displays a SkillsFuture eligibility period ending in 2023, so verify any present-day subsidy before relying on it.
Lebellbrow
Publishes a Professional SPMU 3-in-1 programme at S$3,000 promotional covering Misty Brows, eyeliner and Nano Candy Lips, with separate live-model coaching. The materials kit does not include the machine.
Jealash
Costs more at S$3,850, but the structure is six days with three training models and three additional supervised post-course sessions.
None of those facts automatically determines the “best” course.
They simply show why headline price is not enough.
What should a good beauty course include besides a certificate?
Use this checklist at any academy.
1. Enough practical time
Ask how many hours you personally perform the technique.
2. Live models
Ask how many, who arranges them and what happens if one cancels.
3. A sensible class size
The trainer must be able to see what your hands are doing.
4. A clear kit list
Especially for PMU, ask whether the machine itself is included.
5. Post-course access
Can you still ask questions after graduation?
6. Somewhere to practise
Home? Salon chair? Rental room? Academy revision session?
Do not wait until the day you graduate to think about this.
What happens after the certificate?

The problem after graduation is not usually the certificate
It is practice.
You may understand the steps but still be slow.
You may be nervous speaking to your first client.
You may not have a room.
Singapore’s Home-Based Business Scheme permits qualifying small-scale beauty services from residential premises subject to conditions, but working from home still has practical limitations.
Not everyone wants clients in their family home.
Not every home has a spare treatment room.
And commercial rental can be too large a jump for someone with only a few appointments.
That is the gap Jealash’s Lash Pods are designed to reduce.
Eligible graduates currently receive:
- 5 complimentary 3-hour sessions within 30 days after one course
- 10 within 60 days after two or more
- treatment bed
- trolley
- lighting
- steriliser
- keyless access
- no commission to Jealash
A refundable booking deposit applies.
What if you have zero experience?
That is normal.
Beginner training exists because you do not already know how to do the skill.
What matters more is whether you are willing to practise.
Your first lash isolation may feel awkward.
Your first brow map may take far too long.
Your first lash lift shield may need repositioning.
The goal of beginner training is not to make every movement perfect immediately.
It is to show you the correct process, let you practise it under supervision and give you enough understanding to keep improving afterwards.
So which beauty course should you start with?
“I am curious, but I genuinely do not know yet.”
Start with Brow Lamination or Lash Lift.
“I definitely like lashes.”
Compare full lash-extension programmes.
“Brows are what I keep looking at.”
Consider Brow Embroidery—but understand that semi-permanent work is a bigger technical responsibility.
“I already know I want PMU.”
Compare complete multi-service programmes, not a full masterclass against a one-technique course.
“My budget is the deciding factor.”
Look at providers such as SOQ, Beauty Recipe and specialist courses before making your choice. A cheaper course can be completely rational if its scope matches what you need.
“I care most about what happens after class.”
This is where Jealash has intentionally invested: supervised post-course PMU practice and complimentary Lash Pod access.

About this guide
This page is published by Jealash Beauty Studio & Academy.
It is designed to help a complete beginner choose a type of beauty training.
Where other academies are mentioned, they are included because their structure offers a useful comparison—not because every article on Jealash needs to feature the same competitors.
That is intentional.
The lash comparison should contain lash specialists.
The brow comparison should contain brow/PMU specialists.
This beginner guide should mention only the outside alternatives that materially help someone choose a route.
That structure gives each page a different search purpose and avoids three articles repeating the same list.
