What makes brow-course comparisons difficult?

“Eyebrow embroidery course” can mean:

  • one specialist technique such as Misty Brows
  • manual microblading
  • machine hairstrokes
  • Ombré / Powder
  • a combination programme
  • a full PMU course covering brow, eyeliner and lips
  • a level-based pathway spread across several courses

Comparing only the headline fee is therefore misleading.

A S$1,288 Misty Brow course and a S$3,850 full Brow + Lip + Eyeliner programme are not competing versions of the same product.

The better questions are:

  1. What techniques will I be able to practise?
  2. Is the course brow-only or full PMU?
  3. How many live models are included?
  4. Is there practice after the main classroom days?
  5. What equipment is included?
  6. Is the programme designed for a complete beginner?

The table includes more than one programme from some academies because that is the fairest way to compare specialist brow training with broader PMU pathways.

Pick the type of training first

A specialist Misty Brow course, a broad brow course and a Brow + Lip + Eyeliner programme solve different problems. Treating them as the same product makes the cheapest fee look more meaningful than it is.

First decide: specialist or broad training?

Specialist training

A specialist course concentrates on one technique.

Examples include:

  • Nano 6D Microblading
  • Misty Brows
  • Ombré Brows
  • realistic machine hairstrokes

This can be the right decision if you already know which aesthetic you want to offer.

Broader brow training

A broader programme exposes you to manual and machine concepts so that technique choice is not tied to one named style.

That may suit a beginner who has not yet worked with enough clients to know what they prefer.

Full PMU training

A full PMU programme goes beyond brows and usually includes eyeliner and lip work.

That is a different level of commitment and should be compared against other multi-service programmes—not against a two-day Misty Brow class.

1. SOQ International Academy — best for a staged, low-cost entry

Level 1: S$420 nett / 4 sessions
Level 2: S$1,200 nett / 8 sessions
Live model: None at Level 1; one model at Level 2

SOQ uses a progressive training system.

Level 1 focuses on skin basics, colour theory, hygiene, tools, Classic embroidery concepts and mannequin work.

Level 2 expands into more advanced practical work including Ombré / Powder concepts, corrections and a live model.

What stands out

You can enter at a relatively low fee and move forward only if you decide you want more.

What to consider

There is no live model at Level 1.

SOQ’s own 1.0 and 2.0 pages also state that those specific workshops are not eligible for government funding or subsidies.

Best for: someone who wants to learn in stages instead of committing to a larger course immediately.

2. Lebellbrow Studio — best for specialist technique choice

Lebellbrow has one of the broadest menus of separate PMU courses in Singapore.

Instead of forcing every student into one curriculum, it publishes individual options including:

  • Misty/Ombre Brows — S$1,288
  • Nano 6D Microblading — S$1,588
  • Realistic Hairstroke — S$2,288 promotional
  • Eyebrow Embroidery Expert — S$3,000 promotional
  • Professional SPMU 3-in-1 — S$3,000 promotional

Misty/Ombre Brows

S$1,288 · 1 class day + 1 live-model day

A direct route for someone specifically wanting machine-shaded brows.

Lebellbrow explicitly states that no PMU machine is provided for this course.

Nano 6D Microblading

S$1,588 · 2 class days + 1 live-model day

Because this is a manual microblading technique, the included blade holder and tools are directly relevant to the service.

Professional SPMU 3-in-1

S$3,000 promotional · 4 class days + home practice + separate live-model coaching

Covers Misty Eyebrows, eyeliner and Nano Candy Lips.

Lebellbrow publishes one-to-one live coaching for one model per service.

The materials kit is stated at S$800, but the academy explicitly states no machine is provided.

What stands out

Lebellbrow gives students a lot of choice.

If you already know exactly what technique you want, buying one specialist course can be more efficient than paying for a broad syllabus.

What to consider

Check whether a machine is included before comparing prices.

Also confirm the exact timetable for the Eyebrow Embroidery Expert course; its public page contains inconsistent wording around class days and separately arranged model examination days.

Best for: students who already know the technique they want to specialise in.

3. The Lash House — best for a tiny class and an included machine

Course: Misty Brow Embroidery
Fee: S$1,988 per person for 2 students / S$2,188 one-to-one
Structure: First 3 consecutive days + 1 revision day within 1.5 months
Class size: 1–2
Trainer: Rebecca Pee

The Lash House publishes one of the smallest class formats in this comparison.

The curriculum covers skin anatomy, undertones, pigment theory, colour correction, machine handling, brow mapping, synthetic-skin practice, Misty Brow technique, live models, healing and aftercare.

The published professional kit is worth approximately S$1,100 and includes an electric embroidery machine.

What stands out

A maximum of two students is a real differentiator.

The later revision day and one-month WhatsApp support also give students time to practise and then return with better questions.

What to consider

This is deliberately a specialist Misty Brow programme.

If you want manual hairstrokes or several different brow approaches, compare the cost of additional courses.

Best for: someone who wants very close trainer attention and specifically wants Misty Brows.

4. Bio Beauty — a lower-priced Nano Tech option with revision included

Published fee: S$1,988 promotional (usual S$2,280)
Course: Korean Nano Tech Embroidery

Bio Beauty publishes a Korean Nano Tech Embroidery course that includes a course book, eyebrow equipment, certificate and revision.

The public page currently provides less timetable and live-model detail than some other academies in this comparison.

What stands out

The package price is lower than some broader four-day brow programmes and revision is explicitly included.

What to consider

Ask for:

  • exact duration
  • model quantity
  • whether training is manual, machine or both
  • complete kit list
  • class size

A short public course description is not necessarily a weak course, but it gives you less information to compare before enquiring.

Best for: students attracted to a Nano Tech route who are willing to clarify the full structure directly.

5. The Beauty Recipe — strong published training hours, but check current SkillsFuture status

Course: Korean Semi-Permanent Makeup Micro-Pigmentation — Brow, Eyeliner and Lips
Published total: S$2,000 (S$800 training + S$1,200 kit/machine)
Duration: 4 days / 33 hours published
Scope: Brow + eyeliner + lips

Beauty Recipe’s published full PMU course is one of the more aggressively priced multi-service packages in this comparison.

Its page lists:

  • 24 hours classroom training
  • 9 hours practical training
  • 33 hours total
  • brow design
  • 6D–9D Nano brows
  • Ombré
  • Powder
  • combi brows
  • eyeliner
  • lip embroidery / colour correction
  • live coaching
  • machine included in the materials package

What stands out

The academy publishes a substantial hour breakdown and includes the PMU machine in the S$1,200 material package.

That makes the S$2,000 total worth examining if full PMU is your objective.

Important 2026 SkillsFuture note

The page describes the S$800 training fee as SkillsFuture eligible, but the eligibility period printed on that course page ended on 28 December 2023.

Do not assume you can claim it in 2026 without confirmation from the provider and SkillsFuture.

Best for: someone looking for a lower-fee full PMU package with a machine and a substantial published hour count.

Brow Embroidery & Microblading

Current promotional fee: S$2,750
Promotion extended through: 31 October 2026
Duration: 4 days
Class size: Maximum 6
Training model: 1
After graduation: 1 supervised live-model session within 30 days

Jealash’s brow programme deliberately covers a broader set of manual and machine concepts rather than one named technique.

Training includes:

  • face and brow assessment
  • mapping and pre-drawing
  • microblading
  • hair-stroke design
  • manual shading
  • microshading concepts
  • Ombré / Powder concepts
  • machine shading
  • pigment and colour fundamentals
  • skin assessment
  • consultation
  • healing and aftercare
  • sanitation

The current Jealash certificate recognises training in brow mapping, stroke design, pigment theory, machine and manual techniques, and safe application practices.

The part we think matters most: your next model

During the four-day course, students complete practical model work.

After successful completion, the Brow Embroidery course currently includes one additional supervised live-model session within 30 days.

The trainer stays nearby to observe, answer questions and correct technique while the graduate performs the work.

That timing is deliberate.

Doing a model while you are still inside the course feels different from coming back later and setting up again after you have had time to practise.

  • 10 × 3-hour sessions within 60 days after two or more
  • private treatment room
  • bed
  • trolley
  • lighting
  • steriliser
  • keyless entry
  • no commission charged by Jealash

Jealash Professional Brow, Lip & Eyeliner Embroidery Masterclass

S$3,850 promotional through 31 October 2026 · 6 training days · 3 training models + 3 supervised post-course sessions

Jealash’s programme covers:

  • Brow Embroidery
  • Lip Blushing with Colour Correction
  • Korean Eyeliner Embroidery

The current certificate records 30 hours of professional training.

Students work with three models during the formal programme.

After successful completion they currently receive three additional supervised practice sessions within 30 days:

  • 1 Brow
  • 1 Lip
  • 1 Eyeliner

Eligible graduates also receive Lash Pod access.

Why Jealash costs more

This is the highest published fee among these three full-PMU examples.

The case for paying more is not that cheaper programmes are “bad”.

It is the combination of:

  • six training days
  • three services
  • three training models
  • three separate supervised post-course sessions
  • max six students
  • professional business kit
  • physical post-course practice space

For someone who values time with a trainer after the classroom days, those differences are material.

What should you compare besides price?

1. Technique breadth

If you learn only one style, that may be perfect if you love that style.

If you are not sure yet, broader exposure may be more useful.

2. Model structure

Ask whether model work happens:

  • during the class
  • after home practice
  • on a separate examination day
  • during a later revision
  • after graduation under supervision

Those experiences are not identical.

3. Equipment

Ask specifically:

Does the take-home kit include the PMU machine?

The Lash House says yes for its Misty Brow kit.

Lebellbrow says no on several machine-based programmes.

Beauty Recipe includes one in its published full PMU material package.

Jealash publishes a professional business kit; ask for the current itemised kit if machine inclusion is important to your decision.

4. Post-course supervision

This matters more in PMU because the result can remain visible for many months.

Ask:

  • Can I return with another model?
  • Is the trainer physically there?
  • Is it included in the course fee?
  • How long do I have to use it?

Which brow or PMU course should you shortlist?

Four questions to ask before paying

  1. Which techniques will I personally practise—not just hear about in theory?
  2. How many live models will I complete, and at what stage of the course?
  3. Does my take-home kit include the PMU machine?
  4. Can I perform another model under supervision after the main course is finished?

How this guide was prepared

This guide is published by Jealash, which has a commercial interest in brow and PMU training.

The academies above were selected because they publish enough pricing/curriculum information to support a useful comparison. Singapore has additional trainers and schools and the list is not exhaustive.

Where another academy has a meaningful advantage—such as a lower entry price, a smaller class or a machine included—we say so.

Where public information is unclear or appears outdated, we flag it rather than guessing.
